Resetting VPS Password
You can reset the root/administrator password for your VPS from the control panel.
Reset Password via Control Panel
- Go to
Services→Cloud VPS→ select your VPS - In the Server details section, find the Password field
- Click the key icon to reset the password
- The new password will be generated and displayed
Password field icons (left to right):
- Eye — show password
- Copy — copy to clipboard
- Key — reset password
Important: Password Synchronization
The password shown in the control panel and the actual OS password are independent:
- If you reset the password via the control panel — it will be changed both in the panel and inside the OS
- If you change the password inside the OS (via SSH, RDP, or console) — the control panel will still show the old password
Note: If you changed the password inside the OS manually, the control panel has no way to know about this change. The displayed password will be outdated.
